“If you don't mind your mitochondria at night, it does not matter what you do the next day,” explains Dr. Michael Twyman, board certified cardiologist. Dr. Michael began working in traditional cardiology in 2012 and realized that there was a lack of focus on preventative measures to help stop people from having heart problems in the first place. In 2020, he opened his own clinic to address preventative heart health by applying quantum principles. In this episode, Dr. Michael shares his top tips for preventing heart attacks through healing mitochondrial dysfunction.
There are up to 5,000 mitochondria per heart cell. With so many mitochondria fueling the heart, it stands to reason that when the mitochondria are not getting enough energy to function properly, then heart health will decline. There are many preventative measures one can take to protect their heart, but at the base level, it all comes down to sunlight and sleep. Simply by seeing the sunrise each day and getting good quality sleep, you will significantly lower your risk for heart attacks. Sleep is key, because during sleep the mitochondria undergo the repair process. Issues like congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation are linked to sleep apnea, so it is critical to mind your circadian rhythm and make improving your sleep a top priority.
Most people do not think about their heart health until something goes wrong. Instead of waiting for a heart attack to address your heart health, start taking preventative measures today.
Quotes
“My number one thing is, always see the morning sunrise.” (6:02-6:06 | Dr. Michael)
“A lot of heart rhythm issues such as A. Fibrillation are often associated with obstructive sleep apnea.” (12:22-12:28 | Dr. Michael)
“Sleep is not when you end your day. You have to think of sleep as when you begin your day.” (16:31-16:36 | Dr. Michael)
“Before light bulbs were invented, the only type of light you had at night was red light from a fire, so you're just trying to recreate that type of experience.” (26:17-26:25 | Dr. Michael)
“Since the heart is heavily dense in mitochondria, it stands to reason that if you could put more energy into mitochondria in the heart, things may work better.” (29:00-29:10 | Dr. Michael)

“Sunlight combined with homeopathy transformed my health and my healing experience in huge ways,” shares Heathar Shepard, a New Mexico-based homeopathic health practitioner. After a car accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury, Heathar tried everything to get her health back on track. It was not until she discovered the quantum lifestyle and began incorporating more sunlight into her routine that she began to see dramatic improvements to her overall health. After only one week of watching the sunrise and improving her circadian rhythm, she was sleeping better and her migraines and dizziness were nearly gone. In this episode, Heathar breaks down how homeopathy works and the ways in which it can help to restore the body’s mitochondrial functioning, especially when combined with a quantum lifestyle.
People often have misconceptions about homeopathy, viewing it as just “sugar pills”. In actuality, homeopathic remedies are much more. They are a diluted energetic remnant of the original substance that can aid in curing a multitude of health concerns from acute pain and illness to severe chronic conditions like cancer and schizophrenia. After a traumatic event like an injury or illness, grief, shock, or witnessing something very frightening, the body’s electron spin rate changes. When homeopathic supplements are taken in combination with quantum lifestyle changes, dramatic improvements are possible due to restoring the electron spin rate to its original state.
Emotional states like grief can have a strong impact on a person’s overall health. This is why homeopaths tend to focus on healing emotional states first before addressing physical symptoms. As the emotional state is healed, the physical symptoms will begin to heal as well. If you are dealing with the aftereffects of an injury, grief, or any kind of shock to the body, and traditional modalities have not provided relief, consider visiting a homeopath like Heathar who can help get your mitochondrial functioning back on track.
Quotes
“Sunlight combined with homeopathy transformed my health and my healing experience in huge ways.” (9:27-9:33 | Heathar)
“Whether it's a shock or grief, or a really, truly frightful experience you witness, it can change the way the electrons spin in your body.” (13:14-13:27 | Heathar)
“Skin cancer rates have gone up 2 to 7% per year since the 70s when sunscreen was introduced.” (18:42-18:48 | Heathar)
“If we can get the organism to let it out in grief or in its all natural way, by using homeopathy, it can do huge things for people.” (46:04-46:14 | Heathar)

“It's not just drinking water. It’s making sure that your mitochondria can generate that structured water, that exclusion zone water, that is really what is hydrating you,” explains Dr. Lauren Dodds, quantum chiropractor and founder of South Alabama Quantum Health where she combines her work in upper cervical chiropractic care, craniosacral therapy, and the Arvigo techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy with her deep understanding of quantum health. In this episode, Dr. Lauren discusses cellular hydration and why it is so important both to the structural integrity of the body as well as to one’s mental and emotional states.
Cellular hydration refers to your mitochondria being able to generate enough structured or exclusion zone water for all of the body’s processes. In this case, cellular dehydration occurs anytime there is a dysfunction within the fascia or in the quality or quantity of available structured water. When your body doesn’t have enough structured water, the flow of electrons in your body will be disrupted. This can lead to an array of symptoms from brain fog and fatigue to gastrointestinal problems and muscle pain. In order to keep your mitochondria hydrated, it is critical to fix any dysfunction in your circadian rhythm by getting enough sunlight, observing the sunrise and sunset, and avoiding artificial light at night. You can also help your body out by improving the quality of your drinking water through filtering out toxins like fluoride and adding minerals like electrolytes.
Drinking water is not enough to ensure healthy levels of cellular hydration. Your mitochondria need the infrared light from the sun and free electrons from the Earth in order to generate enough structured water to maintain good flow throughout the body. If you have been suffering from the effects of cellular dehydration, consider working to improve your circadian rhythm and being mindful about the quality of your drinking water.

Quotes
“Fascia and water go together. If one is dysfunctional, then the structure is not going to work.” (10:42-10:48 | Dr. Lauren)
“The water that we drink is called bulk water…doesn't have the same structure that the water that our mitochondria makes.” (11:36-11:58 | Dr. Lauren)
“It's not just drinking water. It’s making sure that your mitochondria can generate that structured water, that exclusion zone water, that is really what is hydrating you.” (12:46-12:57 | Dr. Lauren)
“Making sure that you're getting good sunlight during the day, and then making sure that you're blocking the artificial light at night, I think are two of the biggest things that you can do for your mitochondrial health.” (17:28-17:40 | Dr. Lauren)
“A lot of things come back to dehydration and not enough of that structured water. And then when you start to repair that mitochondrial function, to create that good water, it seems like a lot of things start to take care of itself.” (47:09-47:25 | Dr. Lauren)

Often people are surprised that their immune system is so connected to their emotions,” shares Dr. Kelli Ritter, quantum-certified anxiety coach and host of The Nourished Soul podcast. As a former professor and mental health focused nutritionist, Dr. Kelli has a lot of experience with the gut brain axis, or the connection between mental health and digestive health. She believes that circadian rhythm is the missing link to regulating not only physical health, but emotional health as well. In this episode, Dr. Kelli talks about the impact emotions can have on the immune system's ability to function optimally and the ways that sunlight can be used to heal physical and emotional health concerns alike.
The vagus nerve runs all the way through the entire body and plays a major role in the communication process. This communication process can be interrupted by circadian dysregulation, as without enough sunlight the mitochondria are unable to produce adequate amounts of structured water and ATP. This can lead to health issues like fatigue, insomnia, digestive difficulties, and anxiety. When it comes to healing mental health conditions like anxiety, the best place to start is with circadian signaling. This means doing things like eating only during the day, sticking to seasonally appropriate foods, watching the sunrise each morning, and steering clear of harmful, artificial light sources, especially before bed.
When you regulate your circadian rhythm, not only will your physical health improve, but your mental health will as well. If you struggle with anxiety or any associated digestive health difficulties, it might be time to take a look at your relationship with the sun and begin to regulate your circadian rhythm.
Quotes
“Food can be a big piece, but not nearly as important as quantum health strategies.” (39:11-39:17 | Dr. Kelli)
“Resilience is staying curious about what's actually happening.” (57:45-57:48 | Dr. Kelli)
“Often people are surprised that their immune system is so connected to their emotions.” (1:00:20-1:00:27 | Dr. Kelli)
“When you're trying to shove things down, you'll get more immune system responses to things.” (1:00:27-1:00:32 | Dr. Kelli)
“Love is the medicine and these safety signals are the way to have the frequency of love.” (1:07:32-1:07:38 | Dr. Kelli)

“The oral cavity is so important. It's the external representation of the gut,” explains Kelly Bento, dental hygienist and certified student of quantum biology.
As a dental hygienist for several decades, Kelly has seen it all working in both traditional dental practices and biological dental practices that offer a more holistic approach to dentistry. In this episode, Kelly discusses the ways that the mouth acts as a predictor of overall future health. She talks about the differences between traditional and holistic dentistry, the importance of a healthy light environment for dental patients, and the dangers of common dental practices like the use of metal implants and fluoride.
While there are benefits to seeing a holistic dentist rather than going to a traditional practice such as getting away from the use of harmful fluoride, Kelly explains that there are still areas of improvement that need to be made at holistic practices, particularly when it comes to the light environment. Overhead LED lights combined with powerful headlamps on dental loupes cause issues for both patients and dental practitioners alike. The use of metal implants is a real issue as implants not only inevitably fail, but also are known to cause health issues like autoimmune conditions and complications associated with intercepting radio and wi-fi frequency waves.
Natural light from the sun is the number one most important factor for mitochondrial health. If you are going to a conventional dentist and noticing negative health impacts, speak up and explain that the light bothers you.
Quotes
“The oral cavity is so important. It's the external representation of the gut.” (8:36-8:41 | Kelly)
“There is a massive rise in dental professionals struggling with macular degeneration.” (13:55-14:01 | Kelly)
“Even if you're in a conventional practice, say something. Ask them to turn off the overhead lights, ask them to use the shield, and just simply say that the light intensity causes you a headache.” (18:00-18:14 | Kelly)
“Just as they found out that every single root canal ultimately fails, every implant ultimately fails.” (23:34-23:42 | Kelly)
“The number one reason for implant failure is bacterial infection. Well, the mouth is the most bacteria laden part of the entire body.” (37:00-37:13 | Kelly)
“Don't ever bring your child into a conventional dental practice. Just walking in there. They are drilling amalgam that is just being vaporized into the practice.” (44:51-45:07 | Kelly)
“Teeth will either give up minerals to their environment or receive minerals if they need them. So the interesting thing about teeth is that they're constantly sort of undergoing this flux and so what you want to do is just continue to to provide them with proper minerals and teeth will absolutely re-mineralize.” (59:33-1:00:00 | Kelly)

“Of course beauty matters and aesthetics matter, but your environment affects your health,” explains Mahwish Sayed, interior designer, student of Applied Quantum Biology and cancer survivor.

In this episode Mahwish discusses how to create beautiful spaces that fulfill our need to connect to nature and natural light cycles. Mahwish talks about windows and lightbulbs - as well as the mythology and symbolism of ancient cultures and how they support our healing on a subconscious level. This is a beautiful and fun conversation that will inspire a deeper connection to our day to day surroundings. And as always, we do not advertise on this podcast so do hit the 5 star review button and help us to continue our organic growth and to stay in touch click the link in the show notes for our monthly newsletter.
Mahwish shares that her cancer journey opened up doors for her to view her environment through an epigenetic lens. As an interior designer, she was already familiar with the ways the environment can impact one’s emotions and health. She began to see that the modern environment most people live within is built in a way that prioritizes things like energy-saving and aesthetics over harmony with the body. Even the way windows are made is done in a way that reduces the spectrum of light that can get through to your skin and eyes. The LED lights that are so commonly used to save energy are known to be quite harmful to the body, causing complications like epileptic seizures.
To create a truly beautiful environment, it is important to look not only at beauty and aesthetics but also at the way the environment impacts your health. When your environment is well balanced and in alignment with your body, then that makes for a truly beautiful experience.
Quotes
“Of course beauty matters and aesthetics matter, but your environment affects your health.” (2:25-2:31 | Mahwish)
“Starfire glass is the right glass to use (for windows) if you can get your hands on it.” (9:07-9:12 | Mahwish)
“Our environment is an ecosystem, but we forget that the ecosystem is between our bodies and our environment.” (20:29-20:37 | Mahwish)
“I'm not against saving energy. What I am against is what is packaged as saving energy actually kills bodies.” (20:54-21:06 | Mahwish)
“The word disease, right? ‘Dis-ease’ is dissonance. It's actually if our cells are vibrating, we are not in harmony with ourselves or the environment or vice versa. So if we are able to combat ‘dis-ease’, then we have to seek ways in which we're becoming more harmonious.” (29:02-29:28 | Mahwish)

“Going blind taught me what it really means to see, and just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there,” shares Victor Misfud, the BlindBiohacker. Victor is a citizen scientist who has used quantum health to heal himself of multiple major vision problems that would have ultimately caused blindness. When Victor was 9 years old, he was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa. At 21, his vision deteriorated so much, he lost his driver’s license. He became severely depressed, thinking there was nothing to be done but prepare for going blind. Then he discovered several books on light therapy and neuroplasticity. He started researching and realized that what he had been told by doctors was not entirely true.
Victor explains that modern optometry does not want people to know that there are ways to improve their vision to be less reliant on glasses. However, using principles of quantum biology, he was able to improve his own vision by over 33%. In his research, Victor discovered that much of a person’s health comes down to their environment and also to unconscious trauma. By having a toxic light environment, people are cutting themselves off from the full rainbow of light while also suffering the negative health effects of an overload of blue light.
Even if traditional doctors may tell you otherwise, there is nearly always something you can do to better your health. Go back to the basics and fix your light balance by eating your colors, watching the sunrise, and mirroring your indoor environment to an outdoor one as much as possible. You will likely be pleasantly surprised by how much better your body feels when it is not deprived of the rainbow of light it needs to thrive.

Quotes
“I was told that nothing could be done about it. I just have to brace myself for going blind.” (8:29-8:33 | Victor)
“Before my cataract surgery, I was able to reduce my vision prescription by over 33% by doing a lot of the practices that I learned via Jacob Lieberman.” (12:20-12:30 | Victor)
“Modern optometry almost works like Big Pharma in a way where they want you to be hooked on their glasses.” (12:37-12:45 | Victor)
“Unconscious trauma actually plays a huge role in vision loss.” (13:53-13:56 | Victor)
“You can't get well in the same environment you got sick in. And so this is really about learning what environment means, and a lot of these things are the environment we can't see.” (15:40-15:50 | Victor)
“Going blind taught me what it really means to see, and just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.” (16:10-16:18 | Victor)
“I am here where I am now just because of not believing what these doctors said and kind of going beyond the system.” (20:57-21:06 | Victor)

In this episode, we hear firsthand the negative impacts of artificial light and the ways good light can improve our health with quantum health coach Nathan Walz.

After the first 10 years of his corporate career in Washington DC, Nathan realized he had begun to burnout. He had less energy than before, increasing brain fog, difficulties sleeping, and indigestion. Eventually he found himself at a functional medicine practitioner who tested him for Lyme disease, and the test came back positive. He tried many supplements and antibiotics prescribed by the functional practitioner, but started to get even sicker. Then, he discovered Jack Kruse online, adding cold therapy and an epi-paleo diet to his regimen, amazed when he began to feel largely better within only 3 weeks. Although he was improving, there was still one piece missing - good light.

“The challenge today is most of our jobs have moved indoors, and we're spending 90% of our waking hours indoors under artificial light. And in the past 20 years or so that light has radically changed,” explains Nathan Walz. The energy efficient light we are continually exposed to nowadays is actually more detrimental to health than the incandescent bulbs of the past. The sun exposes us to a range of light rays from every color of the rainbow, while our artificial bulbs cut the spectrum down to just blue light. This type of light disrupts the production of melatonin that we need to regulate our sleep patterns, raises blood sugar, and causes inflammation deep under our skin that reduces the ability of our mitochondria to produce energy.

People evolved over hundreds of thousands of years to be adapted to sunlight. Our bodies are not equipped to handle blue light in the same way. Exposure to the right kind of light is vital for regulating our circadian rhythm and enhancing our overall health.

Quotes
“The right kind of light enhances health.” (19:54-19:57 | Nathan)
“The challenge today is most of our jobs have moved indoors, and we're spending 90% of our waking hours indoors under artificial light. And in the past 20 years or so that light has radically changed.” (20:57-21:13 | Nathan)
“We're surrounding ourselves with this light that not only messes up our sleep, it raises our blood sugar and it does all these different things to our body. It actually causes inflammation not just in our eyes, but it also causes inflammation in our skin.” (23:21-23:36 | Nathan)
“Inflammation is the enemy of energy production.” (24:33-24:35 | Nathan)
“When you're exposing yourself to the wrong kind of light, guess what? You're actually decreasing your body's ability to make energy.” (24:44-24:52 | Nathan)

In this episode, we go deep on how and why it is crucial to optimize circadian rhythms during pregnancy and beyond with doula and certified quantum biologic practitioner, Nikko Kennedy. Nikko has a Bachelor of General Science with a focus on Biology and Psychology and brings an evidence-based approach to her work which focuses on the connection between the light environment of the mother and the development of the fetus - that’s right, mom’s screen time affects the baby in utero. We also talk about light and its role in labor, delivery and postpartum. This is a fascinating, fact filled conversation that’s incredibly important.

“Spending a week in the NICU is really what kicked me off with making the connection between circadian dysregulation and pregnancy,” shares Nikko Kennedy. Nowadays, mothers give birth in bright white hospital rooms and then they bring their newborn home to an environment filled with artificial light. Even before the baby is born, pregnant women are constantly experiencing circadian disruptions due to maladaptive sleeping and eating schedules, lack of outdoor time, and a toxic addiction to blue light. Research has shown a strong correlation between circadian disruption and common pregnancy problems like pre-eclampsia and postpartum depression. It has even been shown that mental illnesses like autism and ADHD can be tied back to circadian disruption experienced by the baby while in the womb. When a mother’s circadian rhythm is disrupted, so is that of the fetus. This can lead to lifelong health complications.

Circadian rhythm is incredibly important, especially for a pregnant woman and her developing baby. New research suggests a clear connection between the role of light and the health of both the mother and the baby.

Quotes
“Spending a week in the NICU is really what kicked me off with making the connection between circadian dysregulation and pregnancy.” (5:55-6:02 | Nikko)
“We find circadian disruption being a uniting factor between some of the most mysterious yet common pregnancy problems.” (17:59-18:08 | Nikko)
“Circadian disruption is highly correlated with infertility.” (30:48-30:51 | Nikko)
“The breast milk is making the melatonin that the baby needs to transition into being an air breathing being. And so that's where it's really important for the mother to have a strong circadian rhythm through labor and delivery and postpartum so that the baby has protective melatonin to counter the natural oxidative stress that it experiences at that time.” (36:02-36:31 | Nikko)
“Babies who are premature tend to have higher oxidative stress, and mother's milk of premature babies actually tends to have higher levels of melatonin in it than babies who are full term.” (38:26-38:40 | Nikko)

In this episode Dr. Corey Ghazvini invites us to share his journey from a vegan night owl musician to a sunrise every day quantum clinician and educator. Dr. Ghazvini is board certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Biomedicine and is an expert in the science of light, water, magnetism and mitochondria. In true quantum fashion we begin by discussing the family dynamics and trauma that led him to his awareness of a deeper energy and ultimately guided him to become devoted to health and healing at the quantum level. Dr. Ghazvini shares deeply and generously about his experience, and takes us for a ride on his cosmic journey.

“The energy that we gather from the environment is exactly what we are. And as we become obsessed with societal and superficial ideas in education, we separate ourselves from this infinite amount of energy that we're capable of accessing,” explains Dr. Ghazvini. Chinese medicine understands that humans are a part of nature and that to be healthy, our bodies must be in balance with the environment. 95% of all disease is rooted in stress and a large portion of that stress can be directly linked to the artificial light and information that is all around us. By simply being in nature doing things like watching the sunrise and feeling the ground with our bare feet, it is possible to re-establish the connection between our bodies and the limitless energy of our environment.

The sun is the master conductor of all of nature, providing energy for biological processes. The typical Western lifestyle of massive reliance on technology and artificial light sources causes our mitochondria to function less efficiently, which in turn creates stress on the body that can quickly turn into disease.

Quotes
“Chinese medicine, what it truly is, is an attempt to create a system that reminds people of how coherent we are with nature.” (13:17-13:33 | Dr. Ghazvini)
“The energy that we gather from the environment is exactly what we are. And as we become obsessed with societal and superficial ideas in education, we separate ourselves from this infinite amount of energy that we're capable of accessing.” (23:33-23:58 | Dr. Ghazvini)
“Quantum biology allows us to understand that it's truly all about light and energy.” (28:22-28:31 | Dr. Ghazvini)
“What our environment is trying to do is to provide the energy that we need. That's what natural light does. And artificial light, artificial information, from the media, from the institutionalized education system, are attempting to find a way to steal your energy.” (31:25-31:52 | Dr. Ghazvini)
